    so people will sit on there making videos anf getting money? get a real job, man

  2. jtswhip Said,

    If you have an …
    If you have an audio podcast,you will never make money from it. I have a podcast and several sponsors,and it costs me money every month to provide free content. To this day,it has been nearly a year,I have not made one cent. Grab a mic,kids. Pay to entertain people.

  3. MakUnited Said,

    Hahahaha, start …
    Hahahaha, start charging for your content then, your struggling by the looks of things, releasing hundreds of videos a week just to keep a float with very little views.

  4. wetpixels Said,

    Blocking ads isn’t …
    Blocking ads isn’t stealing Chris. Some like a more clean viewing experience and prefer to browse the web without being pitched at constantly.It goes with the territory, some will click ads, some will block them. When you start a site and you choose to fund it with advertisements, this is a risk you take.

    @pcgod8 Here, here… I completely agree with you.

  6. MagnificentKot Said,

    Just because some …
    Just because some people block advertising, how is this “stealing”? Chris, you, yourself have said that you produce “free” content. So if it’s “free” how is some guy stealing from you? He isn’t. And trust me, not many want to be a Chris Pirillo wannabe. I’m my own guy. I’m unique. Everyone’s unique. So, Chris, you can take your free videos and shove them up your ass.

    It would be very …
    It would be very interesting to know the breakdown of costs associated with products or services that Chris discusses. How much did the Hoodie company pay to have him wear that hoodie? How much did LInkedin or Modis pay to be featured? Kind of like knowing how much commercials during the SuperBowl cost.

  11. pcgod8 Said,

    @b4lish That’s …
    @b4lish That’s great if you find ads that are actually helpful and you’re not annoyed by them. As for me? I could count on one hand the number of ads I’ve seen that were helpful to me in any way. 99.9% of the time, they are completely irrelevant, regardless of whatever their algorithms say.

  12. b4lish Said,

    @pcgod8 Some ads …
    @pcgod8 Some ads are actually helpful. Whether its just you learning about something or them wanting you to purchase products. Ads aren’t meant to take away but add to the experience hence why YouTube in my opinion is getting better at having relevant ads. Also, I easily watch over 20 vids a day and i don’t have adblockers. just do something else for 15 seconds its not too much to ask to help the person making the content.

    Yeh, what’s wrong with that? You would rather have to type in a credit card number to vie content, that is already free for you now? People gotta make their bread somehow.

    Chris hates communists, what’s up with that?

  20. pcgod8 Said,

    On an individual …
    On an individual basis, it’s no big deal to watch an ad or see a pop up if it supports the content creator. The problem? You’re not the only content creator with advertising. If you watch 15+ videos a day, it all ads up to beyond a minor annoyance. Without ad blocking, I would not watch these videos at all. I could not stand to watch YouTube, certainly not the amount I do now.

    I never click ads anyway, so what’s really being lost by blocking them?

  21. bllymcgvrn123 Said,

    @ernestmac13 I …
    @ernestmac13 I believe federal law has already stopped loud commercials. Or state law in CT at least

  22. Linux4UnMe Said,

    You can make a fair …
    You can make a fair amount of money on youtube if you have enough views per video. Atleast $2.50 per thousand views… if you get 5 digit views per video… your laughing… Some youtubers easily get a few hundred thousand views per video… they must be rolling in the cash! I’m suprised that chris doesn’t really get that many views on average per video (from what i can see) on Youtube

  23. ernestmac13 Said,

    When you change tv …
    When you change tv channels during the commercial, and coming back when the show restarts, are you stealing content? Many advertisers object to the DVR’s ability to skip past commercials. I don’t mind reasonable commercials, but monopolize the browser real estate, take over the audio, & force you to cli k on them, they become intrusive, much like commercials played at higher volume than other programing, which a federal law will hopefully end.

  24. DLB1752 Said,

    I think a lot of …
    I think a lot of this boils down to immaturity and ignorance. People that complain about advertisements for content they are consuming FOR FREE need to be responsible for a payroll and accounts payable for one day and then come back and tell me that again!

  25. AgentSmith31 Said,

    @crogeek Did you …
    @crogeek Did you not read my whole comment? I said socialism. And calling me a moron doesn’t really help your point. It just tells me you can’t back up your statements by attacking me personally. I listed those 2 countries and etc in general. I mentioned Communism and Socialism lumping in a generalization. I’m guilty of poor wording.
